Hi

Any of you who have this problem? My ping is about 45 - 100. Mostly at
ca 55-60. (it shold be lower) Do you have any experiences about this or ideas to improve the ping score? I spoke wih Bock on Sunday an he told it should be ca 30-40. At that time it was more than 100. Is there differences between the 3 servers of SFC? Can it be because of long distance between Norway and Germany? For servers in Norway, the ping is 40-50. (but sure, it is possible to live with this problem as long as the ping is below ca 80)

Other info:
P4 3,6 mhz
Cable adsl, 2 mb in o,2 out.
Closed down anitvirus - AVG and firewall (only Windows)
Ati x 850 xt grafikkarte
2 mb ram memory
xp home

Is there a help to open more ports in the internet - connection?

Hi Gorgar,

I really think that your higher ping is caused by the relative long distance to the german servers. I experienced the same problems when I have been playing on UK or Danish Servers. I don't know if there are any possible solutions for you to achieve lower pings over here...I guess you have to cope with the situation "as is".

Gogar, do the follow steps:

open a DOS-Window and ping the SFC-Servers

62.4.74.248
62.4.74.233
62.4.74.231

look the latency, its the same as the ping echo-reply

than make a tracert in the DOS-Window and look how many hops you need to enjoy the Server.
